Update

Hey guys sorry I have been M.I.A. but life has been a little crazy! With vacations, work and Trent my life has been going at such a fast pace that I haven't had time to blog. So here is a quick update.

Oregon was AMAZING! I had forgotten how green it is and I loved loved every moment of it. Burgerville was as good as everyone said it was and Camp 18's cinnamon rolls really were as big as my face. While we were up there we went to a lake house and on the way we stopped at the Tillamook cheese factory which wasn't as fun as it could have been just because we think Trent has a food allergy to dairy which meant I couldn't eat any cheese or ice cream :( BUT I was able to eat this really yummy raspberry sorbet. The things we do for our kids.. Any who..the lake house was such a blast! Besides Trent not sleeping well (that is an entirely different story) it was so nice to just relax. We hung out, rented ski doo's and played games. I haven't been on a ski doo in like a billion years so it was way exciting. Eric and I decided when we are billionaires we are going to own some. The week defiantly went by way to fast and before we knew it we were home. Here are some pictures of the trip!

It doesn't look as big as it is in person.

 LOVE this face.

About 6 days after we got back from Oregon off we went to Cali for Eric's little brother's mission farwell. Troy got called to the Fukuoka, Japan mission. It was really special to be there and support Troy. He gave a wonderful talk and we miss him already. While we were there Trent had his first experience with swimming and he LOVED it. He could have stayed in the water all day if we would have let him. It was also Trent's first time at the beach. It was overcast and cold so unfortunately he wasn't able to feel the sand but it's just an excuse to go back.

By the end of our Cali vacation, I'll admit, I was ready to come home. Vacationing isn't the same with kids. Its just as wonderful but a little more exhausting and with our vacations so close together it was nice to be in our own beds and back to the usual routines. After all the vacations work was a little insane and finally life is starting to settle down a bit. I am sad that summer is ending especially since it's my favorite time of the year but I am ssoo excited for football, Halloween and Christmas. Trent has his 5 month check up and second round of shots so a Trent update will be coming soon!

Vacation!

I am so excited because in a week we will be going up to Oregon for a family reunion. I haven't been to Oregon since I was in high school so it's been a LOOONGG time. For those who don't know, my mom and Eric's mom grew up together in Oregon so it's extra exciting because I will be able to visit where they grew up for the first time. Every time we go to Oregon we either go to Beaverton or the coast but never Forest Grove. I am a little anxious about flying and being away from home with Trent for the first time but I am sure he will do great. I know Eric's grandparents are really excited to meet Trent as he is their first great grandchild. I can't wait for all the fun times.

I have never been here but I hear they have the best burgers. We will see if they are better than In N Out.

Ever since they were on this TLC show I have always wanted to go here.

Also some place I have never been but I hear they have really good food.

The gorgeous Oregon coast. Nothing else like it.

Three months

Well our little boy is three months and 1 day! He is our happiest little guy and is interacting with us more and more each day. He smiles and talks literally ALL the time. He is starting to laugh and it is the cutest thing in the world. He is in size 2 diapers and is in 3/6 month clothes. He is 14 pounds 9 ounces and loves to eat. He still eats about every 3 to 3 1/2 hours. One day he decided that he hated tummy time so much he decided he would roll over! He did it 3 times in a row. Just enough times for us to record it and then he was done for the day. He loves his play mat and will play under it for 30-40 mins. He is slowly loosing his hair and it's growing back in blonde which is really funny because the hair he hasn't lost yet (on top of his head and the back of his head) is brown so he looks like he has a mo hawk. He is a pretty chill baby and we hope that lasts!

4th of July weekend.

The 4th of July weekend was amazing. To start it off all of my sisters and mom came down to Provo to do some shopping and look around at the Freedom Days festival. It was fun to walk around and see all the vendors and to see Nicole and Jamie get a henna tattoo. Later that night Jessica, Nicole, Trevor, Josh and I went to Stadium of Fire (Jamie wasn't there because she's LAME). Jessica had been given some tickets from Mika for their anniversary and I was so stoked to go because I love David Archuleta and I love Brad Paisley. It was so fun to go and be silly. I'm pretty sure we really annoyed the people all around us because I was singing really loud and going crazy but hey that's part of the fun. The fireworks were amazing and I thought my face was going to burn off when they lit the fire in the stadium.
Then the next day we blessed Trent. It was really special because Eric's whole family was in town and it was the first time his sister Lisa and her husband Mike met Trent. For those who aren't Mormon we give a blessing to name the child offically on the records of the church and then take the opportunity at that time to give the child a father's blessing. It was a really special day and I love my family. Here are some pictures.

His blessing outfit. The bottoms are suppose to be pants. I for sure thought the 0-3 months would have been big enough. Guess not.

If his binky isn't in his mouth his hands are.

 I love this picture.

Then on the actual 4th of July we went up to Jessica and Mika's for a bbq, homemade strawberry banana ice cream, fireworks and smores. It was such a fun weekend and I love spending time with my family.

Independence day

Happy 4th!! We hope that everyone has a safe holiday! We are so grateful for the freedom that we have and appreciate the sacrifice that many make to protect that freedom. Yay USA!

Fun facts about Trent

  • He is 2 months and 2 days
  • Weight: 12 lbs 2 ounces (93 percentile which I'm not sure how because my friends baby is 2 months and he is 12 lbs 9 ounces and he is in the 65 percentile so I don't know if my doctor has it right or if I am understanding things wrong but oh well) He may not look like a 12 pounder but he packs most of it all in his thighs. I love those chunky things!
  • Length: 24 inchs (83 percentile)
  • He sleeps about 7 1/2 - 8 hours a night and I am SO very thankful for this.
  •  He smiles all the time.
  • He talks all the time and every time he talks he flares his nostrils. It's hilarious.
  • He eats about every three hours.
  • He's not to fond of tummy time but it is something we are working on.
  • He loves being swaddled at night still. If he has his arms free he will wake himself up.
  • He is already in 3 month clothes.
  • He loves his hands and putting them in his mouth.
  • He already loves tv.
  • He has farts like a old person. No joke. It's hilarious.
  • He loves cuddling.
  •  I always know when he poos not because of the smell or the sound but because he has a poo face. I have to try and get a picture of it because it's hysterical.
  •  He isn't really that fussy unless he tired.
I could go on and on about this little guy I just love him so much. It is amazing how much growing he is doing. I am trying to enjoy every minute of him since time is just flying by!

Summer.

I LOVE summer! It is by far my favorite time of the year besides Halloween and Christmas. I love the fact that I can walk outside and not almost die because I'm frozen. I love that it's warm late at night. I love the fact that the sun is out longer (when Utah isn't being gay and raining). But my favorite things about summer are:

BBQ'S.

I love our country!

Vacations

Swimming. (Even though I probably won't be doing a lot of this).

I'm so excited summer is finally here!
