Three months

Well our little boy is three months and 1 day! He is our happiest little guy and is interacting with us more and more each day. He smiles and talks literally ALL the time. He is starting to laugh and it is the cutest thing in the world. He is in size 2 diapers and is in 3/6 month clothes. He is 14 pounds 9 ounces and loves to eat. He still eats about every 3 to 3 1/2 hours. One day he decided that he hated tummy time so much he decided he would roll over! He did it 3 times in a row. Just enough times for us to record it and then he was done for the day. He loves his play mat and will play under it for 30-40 mins. He is slowly loosing his hair and it's growing back in blonde which is really funny because the hair he hasn't lost yet (on top of his head and the back of his head) is brown so he looks like he has a mo hawk. He is a pretty chill baby and we hope that lasts!

4th of July weekend.

The 4th of July weekend was amazing. To start it off all of my sisters and mom came down to Provo to do some shopping and look around at the Freedom Days festival. It was fun to walk around and see all the vendors and to see Nicole and Jamie get a henna tattoo. Later that night Jessica, Nicole, Trevor, Josh and I went to Stadium of Fire (Jamie wasn't there because she's LAME). Jessica had been given some tickets from Mika for their anniversary and I was so stoked to go because I love David Archuleta and I love Brad Paisley. It was so fun to go and be silly. I'm pretty sure we really annoyed the people all around us because I was singing really loud and going crazy but hey that's part of the fun. The fireworks were amazing and I thought my face was going to burn off when they lit the fire in the stadium.
Then the next day we blessed Trent. It was really special because Eric's whole family was in town and it was the first time his sister Lisa and her husband Mike met Trent. For those who aren't Mormon we give a blessing to name the child offically on the records of the church and then take the opportunity at that time to give the child a father's blessing. It was a really special day and I love my family. Here are some pictures.

His blessing outfit. The bottoms are suppose to be pants. I for sure thought the 0-3 months would have been big enough. Guess not.

If his binky isn't in his mouth his hands are.

 I love this picture.

Then on the actual 4th of July we went up to Jessica and Mika's for a bbq, homemade strawberry banana ice cream, fireworks and smores. It was such a fun weekend and I love spending time with my family.

Independence day

Happy 4th!! We hope that everyone has a safe holiday! We are so grateful for the freedom that we have and appreciate the sacrifice that many make to protect that freedom. Yay USA!

Fun facts about Trent

  • He is 2 months and 2 days
  • Weight: 12 lbs 2 ounces (93 percentile which I'm not sure how because my friends baby is 2 months and he is 12 lbs 9 ounces and he is in the 65 percentile so I don't know if my doctor has it right or if I am understanding things wrong but oh well) He may not look like a 12 pounder but he packs most of it all in his thighs. I love those chunky things!
  • Length: 24 inchs (83 percentile)
  • He sleeps about 7 1/2 - 8 hours a night and I am SO very thankful for this.
  •  He smiles all the time.
  • He talks all the time and every time he talks he flares his nostrils. It's hilarious.
  • He eats about every three hours.
  • He's not to fond of tummy time but it is something we are working on.
  • He loves being swaddled at night still. If he has his arms free he will wake himself up.
  • He is already in 3 month clothes.
  • He loves his hands and putting them in his mouth.
  • He already loves tv.
  • He has farts like a old person. No joke. It's hilarious.
  • He loves cuddling.
  •  I always know when he poos not because of the smell or the sound but because he has a poo face. I have to try and get a picture of it because it's hysterical.
  •  He isn't really that fussy unless he tired.
I could go on and on about this little guy I just love him so much. It is amazing how much growing he is doing. I am trying to enjoy every minute of him since time is just flying by!

Summer.

I LOVE summer! It is by far my favorite time of the year besides Halloween and Christmas. I love the fact that I can walk outside and not almost die because I'm frozen. I love that it's warm late at night. I love the fact that the sun is out longer (when Utah isn't being gay and raining). But my favorite things about summer are:

BBQ'S.

I love our country!

Vacations

Swimming. (Even though I probably won't be doing a lot of this).

I'm so excited summer is finally here!

Welcome to motherhood

Well it's happened. All my blog posts are about Trent or motherhood. It's funny because I think "what did I use to blog about before Trent came along!?" Now that Trent's here I can't imagine life without him. Being a mom has changed my life in so many ways. But I think the number one way is it has forced me to be more patient. For example sometimes when I feed and change him at 3 in the morning he decides to pee/poo all over himself, me and the crib and it's soooo hard to be frustrated at him because after he is done he smiles so big like it what he just did was a present for me. It's amazing how sometimes I can be so frustrated (every mom gets frustrated and if they don't they are either lying or they are a saint) but at the same time instantly melt when he smiles at me. It's amazing how literally within hours my life was no longer about me. It was about this little life and taking care of him to the best of my ability. I knew being a mom I would have to make sacrifices but never really fully understood until I had him. I have realized that being a parent is the most selfless act in the world and that as a parent there is nothing he could do to make me not love him. Even though some days I am tired beyond all reason I wouldn't trade it for the world. I love being a mom!

Trent

I can't believe Trent will be a month old this Saturday. It is crazy how time flies! My little boy is already growing up. We can't get enough of him and he really is the best little boy. Here are some fun facts about Trent so far.

He LOVES to smile. It is the cutest thing. Right after I feed him he is the happiest little boy in the world.

He loves his binky. He will suck on it so hard he has little binky marks on his face when we take it away.

This is what happens 99.9% of the time when he falls asleep with it in his mouth.

He only cries when he is hungry or has a gas bubble.
He loves being swaddled super tight but also really loves his hands by his face.
He loves to sleep and during the night will go 3-4 hours in between feedings. He use to go 5 hours but at the 2 week check up he had lost some weight so that had to stop. Lame!
He absolutely hates being naked.
He hates bath time except when his hair is being washed.
He has so much hair he has sideburns. The pictures above don't do it justice.
He loves sleeping on Eric.
He loves his swing.
He loves snuggling.
When he cries it sounds like he is saying "mom"

This past month has been exhausting but it has been one of the best months of our lives. We love him so much and can't imagine life without him.
