Winter...

BLEH

I thought after living in Utah for 4 years now I would come to enjoy the snow a little more but every year it comes and every year I hate it. I was told to try snowboarding so I did and yes I hated it. The last time I went sledding I was knocked out cold and had to be rushed to the hospital. I think maybe I wouldn't hate it as much if it didn't try and kill me every time I go to play or drive in it. Although I would rather be playing in it and have the snow win than driving in it and have the snow win.
I proudly admit that I am that slow grandma driver that's going 35 on the freeway when it's snowing. I would rather drive slow and live than drive fast and die. Yes I make other people mad with how slow I drive but hey it goes both ways. It's so infuriating to see all these idiotic drivers zoom past me because they have all wheel drive so they think that magically the black ice on the road will melt when they drive over it or because they are in a big car so the snow just won't touch them. As Dane Cook would put it...UM HELLO....UM HI. It's YOU people that cause accidents and deaths because you are driving like there is no snow on the road.
Not only is snow a death trap it's freaking fffrreezzzing! I hate walking out my door and having my whole body almost freeze to death because it's like 20 degrees.
I will admit there are only TWO good things about snow. It makes things look pretty and when it snows it means Christmas is coming. That's just about it. I use to not be this bah humbug about winter but that was because all I had to worry about was if I had an umbrella in my car and during the day it never got colder than 40. I wish I was one of those people who enjoyed snow but after 4 years of waiting thinking maybe my blood would thicken up I have given up hope. My body refuses to like snow. I look forward to the day when I enjoy my winters with just rain.

It's a........

BOY!!!!!!

The first picture is of the leg and then the second one is of the face! We are both so excited. We would have been fine with a girl but to be honest we both really wanted a boy to start with.  Everything is fine and the baby looks great! The way we found out the sex was so funny. The ultrasound tech said "that's a nice package" and Eric said "wait, are you saying it's a boy?" and the lady said "uh, yeah, that's what a package means." We both couldn't believe it. He is such a kicker! When the ultrasound wand was put on, the baby immediately started punching and kicking like a mad man, yeah he is a true Monson!!!!

19 weeks..

Pregnancy highlights:
1. I have been feeling the baby move a ton. For some reason
whenever I drive in the car that's when I feel the movements
the most. Baby starts kicking like crazy. It's kind of funny.
2. We find out November 22nd what the baby is! We can't wait
to finally know what it is. It's been driving me nuts.
3. My appetite hasn't really changed. I have been waiting to get
crazy hungry like I have heard my whole life but it
hasn't come yet.
4. I don't really have cravings I just really know what
I DON'T want.
5. My weight gain is right on track but with Thanksgiving
and Christmas coming I highly doubt it will stay
that way.
6. I have to pee all the time which is really annoying especially
since our bathroom is upstairs.
7. I hate hate hate my stomach being hot. Everywhere else
can be warm or hot but not my stomach.
8. I have been having really bad back pain but only
in one spot. It's weird.
9. I am way more emotional and cry at the dumbest things.
Eric's such a trooper.
10. I sleep with three pillows. Needless to say Eric and I
really need a California king.
11. According to Eric, I hit him off the bed at night in
my sleep. I don't even know I'm doing it.

So pregnancy hasn't been all that bad. Other than feeling like a whale I'm doing just great and so is baby.

Halloween!

I know this is late but better late than never! We decided to go up to Jessica's and go trick or treating with Kayden. Last year Jamie and Dave came down with Jo and Jaden but this year they decided to go trick or treating around there neighborhood so sadly I was not able to see there cute costumes. When we got to Jessica and Mika's Kayden was napping and when he woke up he wasn't feeling that great but when Jessica asked him if he wanted to go trick or treating he immediately felt better. I wished it wouldn't have been raining because this year Kayden was way more into it than last year. But it was still fun to spend time with family. I love my babies and Kaena is soooooo big. I love to kiss her cheeks! They are so big. It's weird to think that next year I will have a kid of my own!

16 weeks

16 weeks down and I am feeling great! I haven't had any dreams on if it's a boy or a girl but I don't care what it is as long as it's healthy. We will find out what it is the week of Thanksgiving and I can't wait. I'm tired of passing cute things in stores and not buying them because I don't know what I am having yet! Thanksgiving better come fast.

Home.

Going once was not enough but it will have to do.

Josh, Nicole & I at Olive Garden

Apple Hill! Best picture of the day.

Josh, Alex, Nicole & I in San Fran.

Me and my daddy!

It was a gloomy day but I still loved it.

This is the best candy place ever. I waited all day for this.

This last weekend was one of the best ever! My parents had decided to take a trip to Roseville to go to this thing called Apple Hill. Since I hadn't been to Roseville in almost 2 years I HAD to go. I was sad to leave Eric behind especially since he has never been to San Fransisco but the thought of being back home helped cheer me up. Thursday was spent eating at La Bou, going to the galleria mall (which I think is ridiculous), going to my old elementary school, seeing family and wonderful close friends. Friday was spent at Apple Hill. I love looking at all the vendors, getting apple doughnuts, fudge, caramel apples, apple pies and apple fritters. But towards the end of the day I was so exhausted all I wanted to do was go home and sleep. Friday night was spent with one of my best friends at this yummy Italian restaurant. Saturday we headed to San Fransisco. It was a very windy, cold, gloomy day BUT it didn't rain which would have made the trip so much worse.
I have so many fond memories of the city but to be honest the smells were KILLING me. Before I was pregnant I had a regular nose just like any other person but now my nose is seriously like super nose. I can smell anything and everything and that doesn't mix with San Fran. The worst was the fact that I had to pee literally every 30 mins and the public restrooms there are really bad. Every time I would walk into a bathroom it was like I was hitting a brick wall of the worst thing I had ever smelt. It was brutal. After about 2 hours of that I was basically done. It was a great day other than the smell situation but by the end of it I felt like an old person. My back was killing me, my feet hurt, if I smelt cigarette smoke one more time I was going to shoot somebody, my legs hurt from all the walking , and I was exhausted. As much as I was sad to go, especially since I'm not sure when I will go back, it was so nice to sit in a nice warm car with no bad smells smacking me in the face.

All in all I was really glad that I went but was ready to be back in my own bed with my husband. The night I got home from the trip I think I slept like 14 hours. I love sleep.

Gardner Village

I am 13 weeks in this picture. For some reason while we were taking this picture I decided to say something funny which made my smile look weird.

Just being us. Which is crazy.

Yeah we are lame and we only took two pictures but we were focused on the wonderfulness of Gardner Village! It was so much fun! I love seeing all the cute shops decorated in Halloween and we always have a fun time. Sadly our other sister Jessica couldn't make it which made it not as fun but she'll be there with us next year! This place really gets me in the Halloween mood and it's reaaallllyy hard to not go crazy and buy hundreds of Halloween decorations. I think my favorite part of the day was trying a sample of banana chocolate fudge. It was so freaking good and was like heaven in my mouth. We decided to go earlier in the day this year which was a very very smart thing to do because the shops are smaller and it gets really crazy toward the afternoon. I want to go back every weekend! I love it so much!

In 3 days I get to:

see this gorgeous girl and I can't wait! It's been way to long.

see this crazy/awesome girl. We always have the best time.

eat here. I seriously have been craving this.

Go here. I haven't gone to apple hill in waayy to long.

and go here. Salt water taffy here I come!

I CAN'T wait to go back home. It's been to long and I have missed so many things. I never thought I would miss Roseville this much.
